    The London Royals is the UK’s biggest LGBTQ+ field hockey club, based in the heart of London. We’re excited to bring together players of all skill levels who share a love for the sport and a commitment to fostering an environment of belonging, both on and off the pitch.

    About the Royals

    The London Royals has four men’s league teams and two women’s league team who all compete in the London Hockey Leagues. We also have one mixed social team.

    As the UK’s biggest LGBTQ+ hockey club, we value being inclusive of our players and creating a friendly environment for adults to play hockey. We are trans/non-binary inclusive and have many trans/non-binary folk in the club. You can play for whichever team you identify with. For non-binary players, essentially the choice is yours.

    Everyone is welcome and we will always strive to create an environment where we all belong.

    Pride Cup

    Every year, the London Royals organise Pride Cup. This is a fun 7-a-side mixed hockey tournament held during Pride month. We invite LGBTQ+ players and allies to come together and celebrate the diversity in our hockey community,

    People do not have to be part of our club to play in one of our teams and we invite several local hockey clubs to join us for the day. Find out more here!

    Sunshine, smiles, and some strangely warm November Sunshine, smiles, and some strangely warm November hockey! We had a fantastic time playing this weekend, despite some sore heads from a big Friday night out for the women at Butch Please… All of our teams came out strong this week but a special shoutout to M1 for a big three points. We had some strong numbers across our teams this weekend, too, and are so proud to see so many rainbow shirts on the pitch. Our squads are thriving 💪 We capped off the weekend with our monthly mixed training session and had a fantastic time — scroll to the last pic for proof.     What a beautiful October weekend! Saturday’s Redbr What a beautiful October weekend! Saturday’s Redbridge showdowns saw another victory for W1 and a thrilling Royals vs Royals game for M3/M4 enjoyed by all of us spectators. We’re so proud of all of our boys for a stunning matchup with old and new faces alike. Saturday also saw M2 head further south for a matchup against Brombecks, ending in a 1-0 defeat. Fingers crossed the sunshine holds strong for next week, but if it doesn’t, the Royals’ vibes definitely will!

This Saturday is a big day at Redbridge as our Men’s 3s and 4s face off in Div 6 East — it promises to be a fierce and fabulous showdown and we can’t wait to see what madness ensues. Meanwhile, W1 face West Hampstead, M1’s game has been called off, and W2 enjoy their second of two consecutive bye weeks… but you never know, that Royals vs Royals game might see some special guest cheerleaders 💃 Don’t forget that training slots rotate this week, Royals! This week’s schedule features some double headers, with two games against @eastlondonhockeyclub and two against Old Merchant Taylors. W2 will be resting and regrouping with two weeks til their next game thanks to some rescheduling, but everyone else will be working hard on the pitch before hitting our October social on Saturday night.
